This hackathon is student-inclusive and welcomes:

Undergraduate and graduate students

Recent graduates

Beginner to advanced builders

Participants must:

Be able to attend in person for the duration of the event

Be at least 18 years old

Form teams of 10 participants
-

Non-student mentors, advisors, and industry professionals may participate in a non-competing support role.
The event is designed to be beginner-friendly, but teams should be prepared to execute at a high level and deliver a functional, production-ready MVP.
Project and Submission Requirements
What You’ll BuildTeams are expected to build a production-ready MVP over the course of the hackathon. This is not a concept-only event.
Each project must demonstrate:

Clear functionality and end-to-end user flow

Technical implementation suitable for real-world use
-
Thoughtful design with attention to usability and accessibility
Projects should align with one or more of the following themes:

AI-powered or voice-enabled experiences
-
Multilingual communication or translation solutions
-
Accessibility-first or inclusive technology
-
Human-centered AI with real-world application

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges IN-PERSON based on the following criteria:
1. Production Readiness & Functionality-
Is the MVP fully functional and demo-ready?

Does the solution demonstrate clear, end-to-end workflows?

Is the implementation stable and usable in a real-world context?

Quality, structure, and maintainability of the code
-
Effective use of AI, voice, or language technologies where applicable

Thoughtful system design and architecture
-
Does the project solve a meaningful real-world problem?
-
Is the solution aligned with themes of communication, accessibility, and inclusion?

Does it demonstrate potential for real-world application or deployment?

Clarity and usability of the interface or interaction flow

Consideration of accessibility and inclusive design principles

Overall polish and coherence of the user experience

Originality of the idea or approach

Creative application of technology to solve the challenge

Thoughtful differentiation from existing solutions

Judges will review all eligible Devpost submissions that meet the project and submission requirements.

Finalists may be asked to present or demo their MVP live during the closing session.

Winners will be selected based on overall performance across all judging criteria.

Judges’ decisions are final.
